International Hotel & Restaurant Association
The IH&RA, founded in 1946, is the only business organisation representing the hospitality industry worldwide. Its members are national hotel and restaurant associations throughout the world, and international and national hotel and restaurant chains representing some 50 brands. IH&RA is exclusively devoted to promoting and defending the interests of the hotel and restaurant industry worldwide. It is a non-profit membership organisation dedicated to helping members achieve their business objectives and prepare for the future. IH&RA works actively with UNEP to promote the message that environmental action makes good business sense.
World Travel and Tourism Council
WTTC aims to raise awareness of the importance of Travel & Tourism, promote synergies between the public and private sector, generate profit as well as protect the natural, social and cultural environment. WTTC believes that Travel & Tourism has a significant responsibility and role to play, not only in global dialogue, but more importantly in implementing solutions which will lead to a better use of our limited resources. WTTC also hosts the Tourism for Tomorrow Awards which demonstrate that business success and responsible tourism practices can go hand in hand.
